Act I – Division the First: Where Titans Strive and the Table Trembles

In fair West Somerset, where we lay our scene, The mighty Williton A, like Caesar bestriding the narrow world, Did smite North Petherton A with strokes so bold That the very markers quaked beneath their triumph.

Burnham-on-Sea A, no less valiant, Marched upon Eastover and with thunderous woods Did lay low their hosts, leaving naught but silence And the echo of a well‑won victory.

Bridgwater A, noble in their purpose, Did cast aside Taunton A with the ease Of Hector sweeping lesser men from Troy’s gate, Thus securing their place amongst the league’s high princes.

But at the foot of the table, sorrow reigned. Eastover, beset by misfortune, fell once more, And Ilminster B, brave yet outmatched, Were undone by their own kin, Ilminster A, A tragedy fit for the quill of the Bard himself.

Yet hope, that sweet and fickle sprite, Did visit Taunton C and Taunton Deane C, Who rose from gloom to claim victories bright, As though Fortune herself had turned her wheel And smiled upon their endeavours.

Act II – Division the Second: Where Ambition Stirs and Destiny Beckons

Behold Wellington B, whose form this season Shines like Phoebus in his chariot at noon. Against Minehead B they unleashed such force That the very scoreline groaned beneath the weight Of their relentless mastery. Thus they stand atop the division, Firm as a king upon his throne.

But Burnham-on-Sea B, alas, Did suffer a grievous blow upon their own green, Felled by Taunton D, whose woods rolled true And whose spirits soared like falcons on the wind.

Now North Petherton B, bold and resolute, Find themselves in prime position To ascend with Wellington B Into the new Division Two next season— A future bright as Prospero’s conjured dawn.

Epilogue

Thus ends the tale of Week Eleven, A chapter filled with triumph, woe, and shifting fate. Let players sharpen their woods, captains steel their hearts, For in the weeks to come, The league shall write yet more stories Worthy of parchment, ink, and legend.
