Solihull Municipal opened their season with a friendly at Erdington Court on Sunday 23rd April. In perfect picture postcard conditions, the sun shone on good company and excellent bowling throughout an afternoon that was enjoyed by all. The teams are shown behind captains Chris Wright (Solihull Municpal, on the left)) and Peter Yates (Erdington Court).

This was the first outing of a season that has a record breaking 139 matches on the Muni's fixture card, where along with the regular weekend friendlies, there are matches for the three teams in the BBA leagues, one in the B&DWBA league, as well as the Evergreens and Ivy leagues. There are also social events, club competitions, and casual roll-ups to cater for all standards and wishes. And along with the bowls, there are also the excellent facilities to enjoy at our host club, Solihull Sports and Social Club.
