Good morning

As some of you may already know, APC have been engaged with National Highways since February 2023 to reduce the accident rate and continued risk associated with the exit and entry of vehicles and occupants from the A303 and Sarson Lane.

We have met and lobbied representatives from National Highways and the latest communications from them is as follows:

“I certainly have enough information to give me a picture of what is happening at the A303 / Sarson Lane junction, I just need to explore further what the causes of incidents are and if there is a suitable remedy. I appreciate I’m not saying anything new here, and I don’t wish to add to your frustration by going over the same ground. As soon as I have something new to tell you, I will.

Before committing expenditure to any project, we must be able to demonstrate that an enhancement will have positive benefit and represent value for money.

I will keep you informed of any decisions we take.”

Yours sincerely

Paul

APC will be responding to the above however, I would be grateful that, should you witness any further accidents / incidents at the junction, you could report the event to me at the following pd2005guy@yahoo.co.uk Unfortunately, I sometimes do not get to witness the incident before, either the police or National Highways attend and rectify the situation (take cars away, clean up the road and replace signage.) This is important information as it yet ratifies our concerns and argument for change.

Thank you for your support.
