A question people ask a lot is, now we’re in administration, what happens next? People on the site feel they're in the dark and neither the administrators or Royale are keeping them informed.

    Hopefully we can explain.

Dunton went into administration on 15 August 2023.

The administrators take over the running of the site and become responsible for it.

They have until 10 October to come up with proposals of how to get creditors money back. They will also investigate how the site has been run in the three years before administration and also the conduct of Directors.

At the end of that period they issue a ‘Notice of Administrators Proposals' which is a report into how the site is run, how much it’s worth and what their proposal will be. Creditors then have 2 weeks to approve.

In our case it’s likely the administrators will say they propose selling the site and they will start the process to find a buyer. It’s likely all the big players in the industry are already looking around the various Royale sites weighing up their options. The Administrators will be involved in running the site until new owners take over so none of us need to worry.

As soon as the administrator releases their report (expected in about 5 weeks) we’ll let you know how it’s looking.

Just one thing to note. If you are due to pay a bill to Royale, check the destination bank account on the bill because it could change. Adminstrators normally close the main Royale bank account and open an adminstrators account so keep an eye out on your bills. Otherwise just pay the office.

We hope this info helps explain the process a little better.
