Aircraft noise around Clive
Sleap Airfield (Shropshire Areo Club)
The Parish Council has been made aware that helicopter pleasure rides are being offered on Sundays at Sleap Airfield (Shropshire Aero Club). Unfortunately, some of these rides have flown over Clive and caused disturbance and annoyance to residents. We gather that some complaints have been shared directly with MP for North Shropshire, Helen Morgan.
According to the airfield website, management has published official information for pilots that specifically requests that they avoid overflying Wem, Clive, Loppington, Noneley, Burlton, and Ruewood.
If you wish to complain about activity and/or noise from aircraft flying out of Sleap Airfield, please make a note of the date and time of the incident and send your complaints to the manager of Shropshire Aero Club. Please also keep a record of your complaints and you are welcome to share these with the Parish Council if you wish. If aircraft activity and noise continues to persist after complaints are logged, then the Parish Council will consider further action.
