An annual fundraising afternoon in aid of Alzheimers, run by the Dando family, has made £440 thanks to the generosity of their supporters.

This brings the total amount raised over the past years to approximately £19,000. Half of this has been donated to the national charity Alzheimers Society, and half to local Alzheimer initiatives. Kate Dando said "none of this would have been possible without the generosity of family and friends, many of whom have had experience of living with loved ones with various dementias."

Kate Dando was joined by Terry Eccott, local Alzheimer Ambassador, and Debbie Thompson, one of the Anna Chaplains for the Elderly, both of whom found time to talk to many of those present.
