The club's annual season curtain-raiser against a team representing the Northants Bowling Federation is being held at the club green on Saturday, May 5th at 2.00pm, when the John Dickenson Memorial Shield will be at stake for the second running. John was a long-standing member of the Northants Bowling Federation, as well as being national president and chairman, and he was also a one-time member of the Whittlesey Manor Bowls Club.
