Annual Parish Assembly - 11th May 2026

The Annual Parish Assembly will take place on Monday, 11th May in the Main Hall, Thruxton Memorial Hall. Please note that the meeting will take place at 8.30pm.

The Annual Parish Assembly is where the Parish Council and its committees give reports on actitivities and work on behalf of the parish throughout the year. All Thruxton parishioners are invited and the Parish Council is delighted to have the following guest speakers.

• Peter Christie, on behalf of Thruxton Primary School
• Alex Thistlethwayte, on behalf of Thruxton Circuit and the Airfield
• Ben Wilson, on behalf of the British Automobile Racing Club (BARD)
• Janet Wright, on behalf of the Pilhill Brook Association (PBA)

There will also be an open forum and discussion period for parishioners to ask questions. Refreshments will be served and the Parish Council looks forward to welcoming everyone.

Please also note that the Annual Parish Assembly is different to the Annual Parish Council Meeting. The latter is the monthly meeting of the parish council but in addtion to parish matters, it is in this meeting that the Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected and the clerk and committee members are confirmed. Members of the public can attend this meeting, however, they are not permitted to vote.
