The Annual Parish Meeting will not take place this evening.

Thursday 28th May 2026 you are warmly invited to attend the Annual Parish Meeting - doors open 6pm at Ninfield Memorial Hall

***Every resident who comes along will be given a raffle ticket at the door. The raffle will be drawn later in the meeting and the winner will receive a £50 voucher for the BlackSmiths - you must still be at the meeting to claim your prize. If the prize winner is no longer in the room the raffle will be redrawn.***

We are hoping lots of you will come along as we are looking for ideas on how we can spend two pots on money.

The first is money received by Ninfield Parish Council, via Wealden District Council, developers who have built new houses in the village. There at some rules about what we can spent this money on but infrastructure projects as an example traffic calming measures.

The other money is also as a result of housing development and this money is specifically for adult and children’s play equipment.

We will be receiving more money from the house building at 20acre field later in the year and next year.

Please come along and let us know what you think the village needs.

If you are interested in becoming a councillor there will be more information, as well as information about clubs and societies in the village.

We’ll have tea and coffee, a glass of wine and a light buffet available.

You’ll have a reminder through the post, we look forward to seeing you.

All Parish Councils in England are required by law to hold an Annual Parish Meeting, which must take place between 1st March and 1st June (inclusive).
The purpose of the meeting is for the Parish Council to explain what it has been doing over the last year and enables electors to have their say on things they consider to be of importance to the people of the Parish.
Who can attend the meeting? - The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of all the local government electors of the Parish. It is not a meeting of the Parish Council but is usually hosted by the Parish Council. Anyone can attend but only registered electors of Ninfield Parish may speak or vote any action requiring a vote.
Members of the press and public are welcome to attend.
