We have cut and pasted all the relevant RESOLUTIONS taken from the official minutes of ATC's last Open Spaces Committee meeting on 14 September.

PARK AND STRIDE SCHEME (Path) TO EGGARS SCHOOL

RESOLVED
to grant permission for a Park and Stride Scheme based upon the information presented.

PARKING

1) Placing signage within the park to act as a deterrent to long stay parking. This would be Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm ONLY. This would be monitored and enforced by EHDC officers who would issue tickets.

RESOLVED
To approve option 1 - based upon operating parking enforcement on a Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm basis in the main car park at Anstey Park at a cost of £431, granting the Clerk delegated authority to determine the frequency of engagement of enforcement officers as required.

RUGBY

RESOLVED

  1. To pass to the rugby club the results of question 4 of the consultation, stating that rugby can be played on Diggers for training.
  2. The Town Council would provide goal posts which would be erected and dismantled at the start and end of the season if the club booked regular matches in this location. This is on the basis that there is no impediment to casual users of the park (except when a game is taking place) and if the pitches become prone to flooding and are churned up they are taken out of the pitch rotation and rested.
  3. Members would not grant landlord consent for any application to install floodlights in this area.

TRIM TRAIL

RESOLVED
To approve in principle the trim trail proposal to be located on the Enclosure side of Anstey Park, subject to detail checking the location and plan for the equipment at the next Open Spaces Meeting.

NETBALL COURTS AND GAMES AREA

RESOLVED
To approve in principle a new netball court with a project plan for refurbishing the courts, expanding the area to the side of the courts for youth to have a kick about/games area alongside the current skate park to be presented for detail checking at the next meeting.

ATHLETICS RUNNING TRACK

RESOLVED
Approve the use of Officer hours to create a project plan for the creation of a 1.2m 1km track around Anstey Park. This will be submitted to the next Open Spaces Committee Meeting. This is not an in principle agreement at this time.

The next open spaces committee meeting is due to be held on Wednesday, 4 January 2017.
