Ashendon is proud to be playing a part in this historic international event to commemorate the centenary of the end of the Great War, and to recognise the contribution and sacrifice made by the men and women from our own community:

Albert Lay O.B.L.I
died 12th December 1915, aged 20

Walter Ewers O.B.L.I
died 28th August 1916 aged 21

Also in the honour of
all those who did their duty from this parish

The event will take place in the Playing Field on Remembrance Sunday, 11th November and is timed to coincide with commemorations in other towns and villages throughout the country. Please arrive by 6.30pm and make your way to the far end of the Field.

6.30 Refreshments will be available

6.50 we will read Tribute to the Millions

6.55 The Last Post will sound

7.00 we will light the bonfire
