ASHFORD VOLUNTEER CENTRE The centre co-ordinates the efforts of voluntary community groups and so far around 70 groups spread around the borough are involved. The centre is becoming busier by the day http://www.ashfordvc.org.uk
ACER (Ashford Critical Emergency Resilience) Group. This strategic committee, similar to COBRA, meets frequently and, to date, have approved 2 new grant schemes aimed at providing funding for the voluntary and community sector. ASHFORD RESPONSE DEPOT Over recent weeks the government has begun to deliver emergency food packs to an est 1.5m people in the UK. ABC are supporting this initiative working from a new response depot. So far around 500 names have been shared with the council.
