This is An Email from Sturminster Newton for members of the Dorset twinning association from Sturminster Newton TA.
I'd be grateful if you could forward the following to the Twinning Associations.
The Exchange in Sturminster Newton is putting on a French film, hoping that it will appeal to our Twinning Association, and I said I would send it out to the wider French community!
It's on Thursday 15th September, at 7pm in The Exchange. It's called 'Au Bout des doigts' (In Her Hands). It stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Lambert Wilson and Jules Benchetrit. It's 12A and is in French with English subtitles.
The synopsis: A teenage delinquent from a poor suburb hides his prodigious gifts as a pianist from his friends. However he can't help but play on the pianos located in the public halls of Paris train stations. During one of these performances the Director of the National Conservatory of Music notices the young pianist.
Tickets cost £5 and can be bought by telephoning The Exchange on 01258 475137. If there are a fair number of Twinners going, I'll ask if we can use the Bow Room to meet before the film to chat over our drinks.
Thank you.
Helen
