On Saturday 25th April, Brimfield held our first Internal Competition the Barnett Bowl,
On a very warm and sunny day 24 Bowlers turned out, The Competition is a Drawn Pairs played over 11 ends starting at 10 am,
There were some very good pairings and a few upsets on the way to the final, with the Pairs of Brian Draper & Ali Bloomer to play Bob Hughes & Jane Howsam in the Final on Club Finals day in September.
My thanks goes to our Greenkeeper Richard and his band of helpers for getting the green in tip top condition, also a special thanks goes to Dave Botwood for getting up very early to get to the green before anybody else with his trusted blower to clear the green.
