Two vacancies exist on the Parish Council. The Council is a democratic public body where individual views and opinions are welcomed. By taking a place on the Parish Council you will be able to represent the village and bring your ideas to the table which will be considered, debated and resolved by a vote. It is your chance to have a say on the future of the village and to be part of the team considering matters such as housing and development, traffic and speeding, village assets and how public money is spent. Please see the information below and how to apply.
Notice is hereby given that, as no request was received for a by-election, the vacancies for two Parish Councillors (HOUGHTON PARISH COUNCIL) will be filled by co-option.
Electors who are interested in standing are invited to submit a letter of application to the Clerk by 5.00pm, Thursday 21st December 2017.
