What a buzzing start to the season! The East Preston Bees kicked off their WSBL Division 3 campaign with a fantastic 7-1 point victory (54-34 overall shots) against a tough Storrington side, leaving team managers Roy and Mark delighted. Despite heavy overnight rain and afternoon downpours, a massive shoutout goes to our greenkeepers, Simon and Tony, for working their magic to get the green playable. The Bees found their rhythm in the sunshine and showers, securing a dominant 28-7 win on Rink 3, a hard-fought 16-11 win on Rink 2, and a dramatic 16-16 draw on Rink 1 after clutching 7 shots from the final two ends.

Following the final end, both teams gladly retired to the warmth of the clubhouse for a well-earned drink to dry off. The afternoon concluded with traditional post-match speeches from East Preston Captain Craig and Storrington Captain Roy, with both clubs wishing each other well for the upcoming season. A huge thank you to Storrington for a match played in a wonderfully friendly spirit—we already look forward to the return fixture!
