The Village was judged on principal features (Cemetery, playing fields, children’s play area, natural conservation areas, village hall and general environmental features (hedges, verges, ditches, pond, stream, pump) as well as other features (area around shop, pub, bus shelters, notice boards, war memorial, overall appearance, lack of litter and evidence of community Ashendon was awarded 81 out of 100 possible marks with favourable comments. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to prepare the village in time for judging.
