Bishop Monkton PC is moving home!

Bishop Monkton Parish Council recently decided to adopt the government recommended web domain and email addressing schema.

So, we’ve made a decision for change, what does that mean?

For us, it means a change of web address from BishopMonktonParishCouncil.co.uk to BishopMonkton-PC.gov.uk. As we were moving our address, it made sense to look at whether we wanted a new look too and whilst our old site has served us well over the last few years, we decided to go for a complete change.

Our new website, although ‘out there’ is not our official site yet, we’re still migrating some things over but we thought we’d give you a preview before it goes ‘live’, you can see it here: https://bishopmonkton-pc.gov.uk. We’ll be running this site for a short while until we’re completely happy with the migration.

Going along with the domain name change, is a change to government email addresses too which will take the form ‘first.secondname@bishopmonkton-pc.gov.uk or for our clerk, Clerk@bishopmonkton-pc.gov.uk. Some of us have already migrated over and we expect a complete changeover within the next week or so.

So, for the moment, look over the new site, give us your comments and if we can change something for the better, let us know.
