A fantastic community event organised by the Bootle Women’s Institute (WI) has resulted in a generous donation to the Alexander House Project.

The evening of live music and dancing, held at Bootle Village Hall on Friday, 1 May 2026, brought together members of the local community for a memorable night of entertainment. Guests enjoyed a wonderful performance by The Holborn Hillbillies, who played a lively mix of Irish music, country favourites, classic rock and popular hits, keeping the dance floor busy throughout the evening.

Following the event, the Bootle WI presented a cheque in support of the Alexander House Project.

The Directors of Alexander House expressed their appreciation, saying:

"We are very grateful for the donation. Our community and beyond continue to be very supportive, and all donations help prepare Alexander House for its first resident."

The Alexander House Project continues to make progress thanks to the generosity of local organisations, businesses and individuals who are helping bring the vision to life.

Anyone wishing to support the Alexander House Project with a donation or to find out more is encouraged to contact Director: Anne Marshall at annedonmarshall@hotmail.co.uk.

The Directors would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Bootle Women’s Institute, The Holborn Hillbillies, and everyone who attended and supported this successful community event.
