Dartford Borough Council has confirmed that from Monday, December 13th, changes were made to the way parking permits work in the borough.

A new, customer-focused, virtual parking permit system, PermitSmarti, and will be introduced, meaning a move away from paper-based methods.

The new system is simple, effective, easy to access and very easy to use.

To sign up simply visit www.dartford.gov.uk, select parking, then permits and then create an account but if you have any problems we are here to help.

Once your account is up and running, you will be able to apply and pay for all types of permit, book visitor parking slots and alter/amend registered vehicles.

The move to PermitSmarti means that permits will be paperless going forward. Anyone with paper permits that are still in date can continue to display them but once they expire you will need to create an account online.

If you have any concerns, questions, or need any assistance in setting up your account then please contact 01322 343434 and ask for Parking Services.
