Bowls Opening 2020

Good Afternoon to you all

Following the decision made on the 23rd March by the GPC to close the club for both Bowling, Tennis and Social activities, and in conjunction with Government advice and the advice given by Bowls England, the GPC have arranged for the club to be reopened for Bowling and Tennis , though the club house itself will remain closed. The date for re-opening is 1st June 2020.

Whilst the greens will be opened for bowling, there are still some severe restrictions placed on their use, and I should be grateful if the members would read the attached document setting out the club rules for bowling.

I would also remind members of the advice given by Bowls England that is ‘..do not go to the club if you are experiencing any coronavirus (Covid19) symptoms or any cold or flu-like symptoms, in particular a cough or a high temperature’

Bowling can be booked Monday to Saturday with the times of 10.30 to 12 noon and 4.30pm to 6.00pm each day.

In between those times any full member can just turn up to bowl but on condition that not more than the allotted rinks are used and that there are not more than 6 members in total in attendance.

Sunday has no fixed booking times

Booking forms for July will follow the same pattern.
