Residents at the recent parish council meeting will have been expecting the following documents, to assist in responding to the Planning Inspectorate who are considering the appeal against Bassetlaw District Council's enforcement notice for the Brough Lane site. Please find a link to detailed instructions from Paul Morris on how to submit your response to the appeal. https://www.elkesleyparishcouncil.gov.uk/community/elkesley-parish-council-13416/local-planning-applications/ Paul has also included his own detailed response to each of the three points that are actually in issue which are b) the breach did not occur, c) the matters do not constitute a breach, and g) more time is needed to comply.

You can copy and paste the following response to each of the points, and submit it to Planning Inspectorate. If you wish to add any personal examples of how the site has affected you, you are welcome to do so but please try to stay on planning subject and nothing abusive or discriminatory.

Responses need to be submitted by 29 October.

(Name), of (Address) writing in support of Bassetlaw District Council’s attempt to enforce their own adopted Local Plan policies in respect of an appeal (PINS ref: 6014663, 6014664, 6014665) against enforcement notice (22/00261/ENF) at ‘Land on the North side of Brough Lane, Elkesley, Retford, DN22 8BU.

I wish to make the following comments regarding the appellant's case:

We note that the appeal is limited to grounds (b), (c) and (g) only.

With respect to the three grounds of appeal, it is the our position that:

· Ground (b) – the principal breaches of planning control identified by the Enforcement Notice, namely the unauthorised use and development of the appeal site have, clearly, occurred;

· Ground (c) – the unauthorised use and development of the appeal site requires full planning permission, and as this has not been granted, there is clearly a breach of planning control; and

· Ground (g) – the timeframes given to comply with the Enforcement Notice is wholly appropriate having regard to the planning harm identified (in the Enforcement Notice) and the absence of a ground (a) appeal (or indeed a ground (f) appeal).

Regards,

(Name).
