Starcross trio win county title:

The Starcross Bowls club family trio of Richard, Karen & Dave Chappell had success at the Devon county finals weekend held at Topsham Bowls Club held on 8th September.

After narrowly missing out on the title 2 years ago, the Chappell trio finally secured the title on the weekend.

In the morning session the Starcross trio played against Crediton in a very tight ‘nip & tuck’ game, the Chappell’s just beat the Crediton Trio on the last end, winning 20-18 to secure a place in final.

The final again was another tight game, this time against tough opponents from United Services Bowls Club Barnstaple based team, most of the game was very tight but in the latter stages the Starcross trio scored heavily and eventually beat their opponents 22-10.

CONGRATULATIONS GUYS, YOU DID YOURSELVES AND STARCROSS BOWLING CLUB PROUD
