Caring for God's Acre Visit
This coming Thursday, 11th July, Hope Bagot will be welcoming Caring for God's Acre (for more details of CfGA click here).
CfGA is a secular organisation that voluntarily maintains burial grounds as havens for fauna and flora with many bird, mammal and insect species seen in the flower rich churchyards which are maintained by careful seasonal maintenance and hand scything at the right times to enhance natural grasses and wildflower species.
The local CfGA group come to Hope Bagot twice a year and do most of the work helped by the villagers that are able to do so (we are not all spring chickens!). In return we provide them with a slap up lunch - either in the village hall or at tables set out in the churchyard.
We are always looking for willing helpers so, Thursday morning at 10.00 am if you please - you will be very welcome.
