There are further works to be carried out on the children's playpark including the installation of grass matting, picnic tables, benches and rubbish bins. We are awaiting further funding from Test Valley Borough Council via the release of developer contributions before this work can go ahead.
The Parish Council felt that it would be better to open the playpark to members of the public so that they can enjoy the facilities straightaway, rather than fencing it off until the final touches were made. Obviously we did not anticipate the prolonged bad weather and we cannot undertake further works until the area has dried out. Footpaths are being constructed today to facilitate access.
The Parish Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and is working towards rectifying the problems as soon as possible.
