Ladies and gentlemen, members of Dinas Powys bowling club, welcome to the 2024 bowls season, it’s only a month away.
I would like to express my gratitude for being elected for a second term. Last year’s Committee members contributed to the club’s growth and success throughout the season. The committee aims to meet our members expectations and encourages continued support for teams and social functions.
To our seasoned players, who have weathered countless seasons, thank you for your unwavering commitment.
To our newcomers, the fresh faces eager to learn, welcome! You are the lifeblood of our club’s future. Anyone who fancies coming along to introduce new members we are holding taster sessions in April, Wed 17th Tues 23rd at 6pm and Sun 28th at 2pm
To our volunteers, the silent heroes who keep the green in tip top condition, organize the fixtures, and keep the clubhouse humming, your dedication is the backbone of our club. We are grateful for your tireless efforts.
And to each and every member, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a novice, your presence matters.
As we step onto the greens once more, lets prepare for the season ahead which will have its challenges but as we did last year we will hit it head on.
For the forthcoming season may I remind you the annual subscriptions are £125 for full playing members and £80 for new members.
Dates to note: Friday 12th April Green Opens 17.30-19.30
Saturday 13th April Presidents Side V Chairmans Side Arrive by 1pm for selection.
