Having halted the work due to concerns raised by residents, the installation of the MultiPlay on Chestnut Grove was discussed at great length at the April Meeting of the Parish Council.

At the Meeting, Members carefully considered all comments received, both negative and positive. Whilst accepting that the proposed position for the MultiPlay was inappropriate Members believed that the it would be of great benefit for the children across the wider Joydens Wood community. Members therefore unanimously agreed that the installation of the MultiPlay should proceed albeit in a different area of the Open Space.

The installatio work started today and is expected to take two weeks to complete.

The Parish Council again thanks Dartford Borough Council for meeting the purchase and installation costs; for the refurbishment of and, where necessary, repairs to the existing playground equipment and reseeding the site initially prepared for the MultiPlay
