Due to the restoration project, Vulcan Ellis contractors for the scheme, have had to close the footpath directly outside the Almonry.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this. The closure of the footpath has been authorised by the Highways Agency.

The current boarding closing the footpath was permitted to ensure optimum safety of members of the public and contractors during the repairs to the roof, walls and windows of the historic Almonry building.

At peak times the contractors have been available to assist and encourage school children and adults to use a diversion taking Western Avenue footpath which will bring you out near Battle & Langton school and Market Road. The contractors are also happy to assist where possible at all other times.

Please see information from Vulcan Ellis.
