Club Championship Finals Weekend

The weekend of 5th & 6th September saw the conclusion of Totnes Bowling Club’s championships which had taken place throughout season. The weekend saw the finals of all competitions being played over two morning and two afternoon sessions of the weekend. In all there were fifteen competitions completed ranging from mixed triples, mixed pairs, men’s and ladies pairs, handicap and various other trophies. The weekend’s weather meant that all matches were able to be completed without any delays and all competitions were keenly fought with several going down to the very last shots.

The weekend culminated on the Sunday afternoon with the Men’s and Ladies Club Champions being decided. The men’s championship was played out between John Leonard and Paul Gallon. The Ladies championship was played out between Jenny Goss and Carol Treadwell. Both competitions were competitively fought with John Leonard winning as Men’s Club Champion and Jenny Goss as Ladies Club Champion.

The club championships has ended a good season for Totnes Bowling Club with the men’s ‘A’ team being successful by winning Division 3 of the Mid Devon League and will be promoted to division two for the 2027 season.
