CLUB CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Numbers were down on last year's high for the Club's Christmas Lunch but nonetheless almost 50 members, including 10 Past Presidents were in attendance. Held as usual at Test Valley Golf Club the event was, for the second successive year, organised by our Immediate Past President Mary Varndell. After a drink or two in the bar to get us in the party mood we settled down at about 2 45 pm for an excellent three course meal with the starter and sweets being served at the tables and with our going up to help ourselves to whatever we fancied from the extensive carvery.

All agreed the food was excellent as was the service from the very accommodating waiting and bar staff. Mince pies and coffee followed and around 5.00 pm, well fed and watered, and after a vote of thanks from President Jim to Mary and the Golf Club, we set off for home with everyone in the festive mood and looking forward to our return to Test Valley for the Club Presentation Dinner on the 3rd February.
