It was one of the best mornings of the season today as play commenced in the Club Drawn Triples with teams competing for the Hampshire Bolt and Tools Cup. As usual in such events, Competition Secretary Kay Kerley had allocated the entries as either skips. twos or leads so the draw would, hopefully produce balanced teams and close games. Disappointly entries were lower than usual but this helped in as much as it was only necessary to run two leagues with each team playing the others in their league, with the two top teams from each league meeting in the Final. Games were generally close and no team had a 100% record in league play. From the Red League Jo Holland, Colin Wood and Ted Trantum reached the Final where they were joined by the Blue League's Averil Adams, Laura Butler and Ruth Bown. Interestingly for the skips they also met in last year's final and as in 2015 it was Ted's team that came out on top in a close game.
