Club Maintenance

As you know, the small groundswork and maintenance team meet every Monday morning from about 8am for 1.30hrs, followed by tea, cake, biscuits and a general putting the world to rights chat.

Additionally we all give our time during the week as things need to be done.

Quite honestly we are up against it trying to keep the club and particularly the grounds as well maintained as we would like and so are looking for additional help and support.

We would dearly like to see other members join us, regularly would be great but occasionally would be appreciated.

It's not difficult work, it's what we all do to keep our own houses and gardens tidy so no expertise is required.

To our mind you should treat the club and facilities as you would an extension of your own home.

If you would care to join us, please just turn up.

If you can't make it on a regular basis but turn up for a roll up or to play tennis or have plot along the side, pulling a few weeds out of the borders and block paving or picking any litter up will help tremendously as if you don't do it someone else has to!

The club open day was very well supported and just shows how much can be done in a short space of time by many.

There are many other jobs that are done by a small number of people, but let's lure you in gently!
