Friday evening saw the best attendance for 4 years at what was Oakley Bowling Club's 42nd Annual Presentation Dinner and Dance held at the Test Valley Golf Club. President Martin welcomed as guests our "Landlord" Jamie Colman accompanied by his wife Sue, the soon to be High Sheriff of Hampshire, and also both Bowls Hampshire Presidents, Mandy Orchard and Neil Fletcher. We were delighted too that Bowls England President Hazel Marke was able to join us.

As usual the food and service at Test Valley was superb and following the speeches and toasts, the trophies were presented by Jamie Colman. It was good that all trophies were collected on the night with, in every case, both winners and runners up being present. A disco followed and at midnight after a very enjoyable evening, we wound our way home, thankful that this year we had not experienced the snow that led to the 2019 event being postponed.
