To visit Ryhope Bowling Club, Sunderland in a friendly match, organised by Collingwood’s ex Ryhope stalwart Vince Hills.

When all Collingwood members found their way to the green – isn’t Sat Nav a wonderful thing, we were met with a very warm welcome, although the weather decided not to follow the trend.

The game was played in a very friendly, enthusiastic and challenging manner – as is the norm for the usual “Friendly Game”

Half time produced the most welcome refreshments, giving time to dry off and review tactics.

After a hard-fought finish to the game, it was fair to say that everyone enjoyed a splendid afternoon with Ryhope providing great competition and hospitality second to none.

We look forward to welcoming Ryhope back to Collingwood.

Vince Hill is to be thanked for organising a great afternoon and he expressed a wish to thank the Collingwood members who turned out to support the day.

Photographs of the day can be seen on our Web Site gallery.
