Community Consultation

The purpose of MSAG is to engage the community and provide local residents with a voice and vehice to voice opinions on what happens in their local area and hear their ideas about projects we want to deliver.

With this in mind, we organised a Community Consultation Event, held at the PAL Centre, so that residents could come together and hear the plans around the community garden. All in attendance agreed that the Community Garden was a brilliant idea and were grateful that the area could be getting something that would be celebrated and provide a positive outlook

The event had a great turnout, with residents attending from L8 and L7 areas to provide ideas and insights about what they would like to see in the Community Garden and there were some common themes that were suggested

Seating areas,

lighting,

plants,

shrubs

shelter

vegetables

The Conultation event also provided an opportunity for those that expressed an interest to become actively involved with MSAG and volunteer their time in supporting with decision making and the operational aspects of delivering projects. Those that expressed an interest were added to the distribution list to receive updates and will be invited to future meetings on the group.

For those that couldn't attend the Consultation in person, the online consultation is a way to still have your say:
