More evidence is now available about which people are more likely to become very unwell as a consequence of COVID-19 infection. As a result, the UK Chief Medical Officers have instructed that two new conditions must be included in the 'high risk' criteria:

These are:

- adults with downs syndrome

- adults with kidney impairment (Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease)
