Residents may have seen information about the Connecting Kings Worthy initiative.  The project is also relevant to Headbourne Worthy residents.

Following workshops and consultation in Spring 2016, local people said they wanted to feel more connected by walking and cycling, and connected to each other and the activities in the village and to reduce the amount of energy they use.

The project consists of the three parts:

  • Connecting people – bring all parts of the community together so that more residents are taking part in the great things that are happening in the community. This aspect of the project will encourage people to get involved, volunteer and share resources.
  • Connecting places – Kings Worthy has so many sneaky shortcuts and cut-through that it is easy to get around on foot and by bike. This part of the project encourages people to leave the car at home and get out an about in the community.
  • Connecting power – This area of the project seeks to open the conversation about our energy use at home. There are so many great ways to reduce usage without sacrifice, save money and still have fun.
