Below is the reply from Countryside in response to a query about the extension of working hours on construction sites. It does say that at this moment they have applied, but not, that it has been granted. If anyone wouldl like to comment, it is suggested they contact Ashford Borough Council by email at building.control@ashford.gov.uk.

“We have already applied to Ashford Council to extend working hours until 7pm to maintain the programme aspirations for delivering housing whilst operating under new procedures in light of the Covid 19 virus. Following the Government’s announcement yesterday that construction work may be permitted up to 9pm, we will be applying for construction operations to be permitted to this time. However, this does not mean we will regularly be operating up until this time, if at all. It is merely a fall back, should we need it, to recoup any lost time”
