On Saturday 1st May, Stewart set up a suprise for Sue Maddocks, who had gained her County Badge in 2020; but due to Covid and personal circumstances she had been unable to be presented with her badge in the normal way, which is playing your 1st County game.

Sue thought she was coming to watch a roll-up session, many members from the club had turned up to be part of the celebration and to congratulate Sue, but unbeknown to her, representivies from Bowls Devon were there to present her with her County Badge. Vicky Hingston from Plymouth who is the Devon ladies administrator and Christine Marshall from Crediton the Devon ladies President explained this was an exceptional circumstance. They announced that someone from the club had achieved their Badge and called Sue onto the green. Sue was escorted by Stewart (her husband) onto the green and was presented her badge by Christine. Sue was very suprised but extremley proud and happy to get her badge. Everyone clapped and cheered and Sue shared the moment with her family; Stewart, daughter Tracey and son Jason.

Thank you to Vicky and Christine for taking the trouble to travel to our club, it was very much appreciated.
