COVID Rules for Games
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
We are getting closer to our first game since November. Yes, the Game on Saturday 17 April is on.
If anybody feels that they do not want to play, because of the somber events happening on Saturday afternoon, please e-mail or phone Derek Squire ASAP - 01666823482 or maryderek@btinternet.com.
We will have a minute silence at 3.00 p.m. along with the rest of the nation and club flag at half-mast for the game,
Club COVID Rules
- Please use the one-way system around the club and green. Enter the club via the gate between the clubhouse and the path.
- Please sign in as soon as possible when you arrive at the club with a face mask on, just inside the patio doors. There will be a box for your £1 subscription for this game.
- Exit the clubhouse through the men’s changing room door. Turn right and follow the one-way system around the green.
- Use the toilets with a face mask please by entering the clubhouse through the patio doors. There is only one person allowed in the toilets at any time. There are sanitizing materials and a lock on the entrance to the toilets. Exit the clubhouse through the men’s changing room door and turn right and follow the one-way system around the green.
- The bar will be open before and after the game using the one-way system around the green.
To be served at the bar from the fire exit door, Brian Reynolds will put your drinks on the table. Please do not enter the clubhouse through this door. You can pay for your drinks by Cash, Contactless Card, or club bank account (BACS).
Match Rules
- Team A White Mats and White Jacks
- Team B Red Mats and Yellow Jacks
- Leads to carry their own Jacks and have their own mats at the end of each rink.
- Number Twos are to decide which end they will use the pushers (Alternating ends)
- Measuring is allowed but NO sharing of the measure
- One skip to control the scorecard and the other the scoreboard. Their decision who does what
- Skips should use a glove to remove the mat and place the jack
- Please only use your feet to move other players’ woods
- And please just use a bit of common sense and social distance where possible

There are limited car parking spaces at the club. If possible, please park in Cross Hayes. It is a short walk from Cross Hayes, down Silver Street, to the club house.
