Yesterday's game will the last for four weeks due to the lockdown to restrict the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These friendly games have been very well supported by the members. More importantly, the games have been good for our wellbeing with a healthy mix of exercise outdoors and social distanced socialising indoors. The sooner the games can start again, the better for all of us.

Thank you to Derek for the organization and his enthusiasm. Thank you to Brian for operating the bar. Thank you to Roger and his minions for clearing the green of the leaves, a task akin to painting the Forth rail bridge.

The games were played in warm, blustery conditions. The rain started, despite the forecast for a dry afternoon, and intensified so the number of ends for each game was reduced from 18 to 14.

The "scores on the doors" were

  • Mal v Brian - 25 v 11
  • Bob v Pete - 10 v 8
  • Rob v Roger - 24 v 3

Marlene modelled a new style hat based on the design for a German Uhlan helmet from WWI or did she have it on back to front ?

The regular Friday night social has been moved to this Wednesday 4th November at 7.00 pm. This will be the last social until further notice.

Maybe we will see each other on Boxing Day for a game ?
