DEATH OF STEVE GILMAN

Yet again in this awful year I have the sad task of informing members of the death of a much respected and loved member: Steve Gilman passed away peacefully at home on Monday (9 November) after a long illness. Many of you will have known him well and he was a great servant to the club, particularly on the catering side and managing the bar for many years. His Sunday lunches a few years ago are still talked about and he put on many excellent spreads for Presentation nights and other club events. He was also a popular captain of the midweek triples for the last 2 seasons. Our thoughts are with Sue and his family at this difficult time.
