In Countryfile yesterday evening, Charlotte Smith investigated the growing problem of dementia in the countryside as a new report highlights the dangers, isolation and lack of services facing farmers living with the condition.

We are already in contact with Ian Sherriff who features in the program to understand the work he has been doing around these issues in Devon so that we can explore ways we can duplicate their work here in Hampshire.

We have some initial funding from Hampshire County Council to scope the problem hre in Hampshire and hope to be able to expand the work in the future.

If you are living in a rural area of Hampshire and are affected by Dementia and would be interested in helping us in this project or need support or information, please get in touch with Jane at jane.ward@dementiafriendlyhampshire.org.uk.
