Dementia UK are thrilled to be celebrating one year since the launch of our Closer to Home virtual clinics. These enable families facing dementia to access the life-changing support of a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse through phone and video call appointments.

Since launching the virtual clinics, Admiral Nurses have supported over 1,700 people. And with appointments now available four days a week, more people than ever can speak to a nurse and get tailored advice and support:

“My brother and I are so grateful for the service. Following our mother’s very recent diagnosis, we have taken great comfort in the knowledge that there is a group of dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable nurses available. We will continue to access the service to help us process what is happening to our mother and also be the best possible carers we can be.”

- Aqib and Shahbanu

Dementia UK know that living with dementia can be challenging. That’s why Admiral Nurses are here to help – with their support and advice you won’t have to face dementia alone.
