Well its come round again the new outdoor season and as usual the early season weather is against us . Its raises the question of why the season could perhaps start in mid May and continue untill mid October .Im sure the indoor clubs could stagger their winter season to accomodate.

Our council owned green is again suffering mainly due to last years neglect during the drought . Strange isnt it the government would like older people to stay fit but councils do not promote the sport and are quick to close them to save money. The trend is for clubs to take over the running of their own greens relying on grants and volunteers.

Our early games have proved challenging . We have played well in the 2by3 and 3by3 but have lost twice in the saturday leagus due mainly to player absentses with illness and holiday committments .

The Skegness sheet is on the board so get your names down ASAP and lets have a good day out .

New players always welcome and coaching and special green rates are available if accompanied by a club player.
