DISAPPOINTMENT FOR GOLDEN GUYS

Last night's quarter final of the County Golden Pairs at Cove proved a step too far for Malcolm Grime and Bob Goodyear. Having played well in the early rounds, they struggled early on to find form and with the Alton Social lead nailing the jack and lady luck going against them, the Oakley duo soon found themselves 12-1 down. Try as they did, they could not recover the deficit and eventually the match was conceded at 21-9. Commiserations Malcolm and Bob and good luck to Social as they represent the North in the County semi final.
