There was a disappointing turnout of about 45 for the Basingstoke and District Bowling Association's Centenary Dinner held last night at Old Basing BC. With 15 Clubs in the Association it fell to just two clubs, Oakley with 16 and Kingsclere to provide almost 60% of the attendees. However, those who were present, were rewarded with an excellent three course meal which, with wine included, represented great value for money at £14 per head. Thanks go to President Tom and Stella for all the hard work that went into organising the event. 2022 was a poor one for Oakley players in District competitions but our congratulations go to our Treasurer Sean Lassman who picked up the runner up award in the Champion of Champions and to our "B" team, which, in its first season in Division 1 of the Triples League, finished runner up.
