Diversion - Yelsted Road closure to divert through Newington, 19 June 2026 - 22 June 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yelsted Road, Yelsted.
A closure is planned from 19th June 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd June 2026, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC411001WGQR6L1C-02 - OPENREACH LIMITED). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
Yelsted Road will be closed approximately 15 metres North of the drive leading to Frost Orchard. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow
telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by OPENREACH LIMITED.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yelsted Road, Lower Hartlip Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, A2 London Road, A2 High Street, A2 Boyces Hill, A2 Keycol Hill, A2 Key Street Roundabout, A249 Maidstone Road, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Aerodrome Approach, Bimbury Lane, Yelsted Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
