Doggy Business

There has been a lot of discussion about dog fouling lately so here are some fun facts: -

Dog faeces are a health hazard : The faeces of a dog can transmit diseases to humans, especially young children and to other animals. Look up Toxocariasis

It’s only the same as cow or horse manure: - No it is isn’t – see above

I don’t have to pick it up: - Yes, you do and you can be fined if you don’t.

Once it has been bagged, I can discard it: - No you, can’t, that is littering and subject to a fine.

I didn’t realise: - this is still not a reasonable excuse.

No one has noticed: - You would be surprised at what people notice.

There aren’t enough bins: - Poo bags can be placed in public waste bins or…. take it home.

Difference between fox and dog poo: - Foxes produce dog-like droppings that are usually darker, pointy at one end and full of fur, feathers, tiny bones, seeds and berries.
