DONATIONS FLOOD IN FOR CHARITY AUCTION

A two hour painting session with a professional artist and coaching by a leading cricket coach are among the items already donated for this year's Annual Bishop Monkton Charity Auction Night taking place this weekend. The auction, which takes place at the Mason's starting at 7p.m. on Saturday night (12th October), is this year raising money for the Friends of Bishop Monkton School, the Village Hall, the two churches in the village and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Among items offered so far -

- Two one-hour cricket coaching sessions by BM resident Andy Rowsell who is Level 3 ECB cricket coach who is also offering a Yorkshire CCC shirt signed by players including Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root.

- A two hour painting session for one or two adults with Liz Harvey, a professional artist and tutor, at her studio just outside Ripon.

- A wooden keepsake box made by Gordon Horrod.

- An offer of a taxi service by Caroline Hare to take and collect four people to Harrogate or Ripon on a Saturday night

- A Christmas table arrangement from Allison Emmerson and the Unique Flower Company
